Wow girl! We aren't able to grow violets up here (at least not any varieties that I've seen). On Easter, I noticed the daffodils were in full bloom here in Western Washington; even while the yellow daffodils from my yard have already lost their blooms after suffering from the sudden hard frost that hit them.
I love flowers of all kinds but I'm particular fond of the pansy -- a flower that often survives the cold winters here to come back and thrive in the spring.
My grandmother used to grow a lot of pansies when I was child. They are lovely. I really like the yellow and purple ones.
I love violets. They almost grow wild around here. They certainly thrive. I love the scent that fills the air near them. There are even some white violets in the park. Although I have not yet checked to see if they are in bloom.
