Wow girl! We aren't able to grow violets up here (at least not any varieties that I've seen). On Easter, I noticed the daffodils were in full bloom here in Western Washington; even while the yellow daffodils from my yard have already lost their blooms after suffering from the sudden hard frost that hit them.
ReplyDeleteI love flowers of all kinds but I'm particular fond of the pansy -- a flower that often survives the cold winters here to come back and thrive in the spring.
My grandmother used to grow a lot of pansies when I was child. They are lovely. I really like the yellow and purple ones.
ReplyDeleteI love violets. They almost grow wild around here. They certainly thrive. I love the scent that fills the air near them. There are even some white violets in the park. Although I have not yet checked to see if they are in bloom.
